A Martin County man is facing charges Friday morning for assault and drug trafficking.
Twenty-five year old Daquan Chiles of Williamston is booked in the Pitt County Detention Center for trafficking opium or heroin, selling or delivering a controlled substance, assault on a female, communicating threats and driving while his license was revoked.
A magistrate set Chiles' bond at just over $167,000.
