UPDATE: 2012 Pitt County Fair Extended Through Sunday

You can find rides, games, and delicious food all in one place in Pitt County, now through Sunday.

If you plan to get in on the fun after church Sunday, you can bring your church bulletin for $1 off the admission price.

Day three of the Pitt County Fair Wednesday had something for everyone as people took to the fairgrounds in Greenville. From ferris wheels to funnel cakes, there was plenty to. For one local toddler, it was all about the horseback riding. This wasn't your typical merry-go-round, but real, live horses trotting around in a circle. 6-year-old Jurnee Matthewson was having a blast Wednesday.

"I was riding it and it's so fun, and I like to ride horses." said Matthewson.

Matthewson says she wants to get a pony of her own, but her aunt says for now they'll just stick to riding the ones at the fair.

The Pitt County Fair is officially underway..

The fair opened Monday at 5 p.m. at the Pitt County Fairgrounds. The fairgrounds are located on Martin Luther King, Jr. Highway, near the intersection of U.S. 264 and N.C. 33 on the east side of Greenville.

Tuesday through Friday gates open at 3 p.m and 10 a.m Saturday.

Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for kids ages 5-12.
