Police say he's considered one of the most dangerous men in Greenville and now Cameron Whichard is behind bars.
The 19-year-old Whichard has been charged with Saturday's shooting of Carl Howard. The man was shot in the mouth while in the backyard of his McClellan Street home.
Chief William Anderson says Whichard is a known member of the Bloods gang and was out on bond when Howard was shot.
Anderson says his officers have been dealing with Whichard since he was 15-years-old. Police say the man now has three different shooting cases against him with five different victims.
Whichard had previously been arrested for the December 27th shooting of a 14-year-old on Norcott Circle and a robbery earlier that month that happened at the corner of Pitt and Wyatt Streets.
He was arrested Tuesday at his home after a Crime Stoppers tip. Whichard is in jail under a $1.165 million bond.
