A suspect is behind bars charged in a weekend shooting in Pitt County.
The Pitt County Sheriff's Office arrested 18-year-old Gregory Louis Barrett of Farmville and charged him in the Saturday night shooting of 28-year-old Roosevelt Duncan in a parking lot in Farmville.
Duncan was shot in the shoulder.
Barrett is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill. Bond is set at $300,000
Lawmen are investigating a man getting shot in the shoulder in a parking lot in Pitt County.
The Pitt County Sheriff's Office says 28-year-old Roosevelt Duncan was shot in the shoulder near Farmville Saturday night. That's according to the Daily Reflector, which says the shooting happened in a parking lot near the intersection of Stantonsburg Rd. and Highway 258, around 9:30 p.m. Saturday. The paper says lawmen were looking for someone with the street name "Little Greg," but provided no additional information.
Hospital officials had no record of Duncan in their files. The conditions of crime victims are sometimes unavailable to the media and others who inquire.
