A school bus driver has been charged with unsafe movement by Greenville police after a wreck Wednesday afternoon.
Six students were injured and send to Pitt County Memorial Hospital after the accident near the intersection of Charles Boulevard and 14th Street.
Several students aboard bus number 164 from E.B. Aycock Middle School were treated at the scene by rescue crews. A school spokeswoman says there were 26 students on the bus.
The students not injured were placed on another bus and taken home.
Pitt County Schools say Linda Jacobs won't be able to drive a bus until everything is settled with the charge. Heather Mayo says Jacobs will continue as a teachers assistant at Elmhurst Elementary School.
