Greenville Team Wins Babe Ruth World Series Opener

(Monticello, Arkansas) -- The Greenville All-Star team won its opener at the 13-15 year old Babe Ruth World Series over White Hall, Arkansas 6-4.

Jehneil House singled in the top of the 7th inning to score Tyler Garret and Dalton Britt and break a 4-4 tie. White Hall failed to score in the bottom of the inning.

The Ron Tellefsen "Player of the Game" awards were presented to Jehneil House of Greenville, NC and Chris Smith of White Hall.

Arkansas committed four errors in the game.

Gray Dixon hit a home run for the Greenville All-Stars who are now 1-0 at the Babe Ruth World Series.

Greenville will continue pool play on Friday at 12:30pm against Kelso, Washington and then Saturday against Seabrook, Arkansas at 8pm.
