Would Be Robbers Come Away Empty Handed

Three men tried to rob an 18-year-old for money and marijuana but came away empty handed.

Greenville police say just after midnight Monday, the men went up to the victim with a gun and made the demands.

It happened at the Bellamy Circle Apartments.

Nothing was taken from him and police continue their search for the men who were last seen walking toward the Bellamy Club House.

There has been almost 20 car break ins in the last two weeks around Courtney Square and Arlington Square and NOTHING has been done! I haven't seen one cop even driving around patroling or anything!

We are too lenient on people who commit these crimes. 45 days in jail and several years of probation do not do anything! If you start being drastic and chopping hands off, so they CANNOT hold another gun, then you may see a curve in crime. It is time to stop playing and actually do something that will scare people from making some of this decisions.

Likely, these thugs weren't up to killing anyone (yet) possibly "greenhorn gangstas". The incident could have turned out differently. Tragically, this is the point where G-ville has gotten lately. The guys that do this have no place in society. Using a gun as muscle is the lowest a human can get on my chart. I have no desire to be around people that act this way. Can any of you suggest places where I can avoid this kind of behavior?
