Local Soccer Team Holds Tournament Fundraiser

A local soccer team is asking for your help as they prepare to represent Eastern Carolina in a Virginia tournament.

The U17 Greenville Stars soccer team is holding a car wash and bake sale at TieBreakers in Greenville on Saturday, August 14, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The team is playing in the Sun Cup tournament in Virginia Beach on August 21 and 22.

If you head into TieBreakers for lunch while your car is being washed, you can also support the team. If you mention the car wash, TieBreakers will donate $1 to the team.

The Stars are a classic team of the Pitt Greenville Soccer Association. The team is made up of young men age 17 and under.

PGSA Stars players also play on varsity teams at DH Conley, JH Rose, Ayden Grifton and South Central high school in Pitt County and Washington High School in Beaufort County.

PGSA is a 501c(3) agency and all contributions are tax-free to the extent allowed by law.

TieBreakers is located at 1920 B Smythewyck Drive in Greenville, near East Firetower Road and East Arlington Boulevard.
