Pitt Community College will dedicate the Herman Simon Building on their campus in Winterville Friday. The 34,000 square foot facility will expand Pitt Community College's health sciences facility.
Officials broke ground on the Herman Simon Building in November 2008 as they conducted an $8 million capital campaign. Friday's dedication ceremony will include tours and is open to the public.
The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. in the Craig F. Goess Student Center on PCC's main campus. Tours of the Simon Building will take place following the dedication ceremony.
School officials say the building will be ready for the first day of school, which is August 19.
