Charges Pending In Three Vehicle Wreck

Charges are pending after a three-vehicle wreck in Greenville Thursday night.

Greenville Police say an SUV pulled in front of a pickup truck at the intersection of Fire Tower Rd. and Corey Rd. around 9 p.m. Thursday. That caused the truck to flip over and hit another car.

At least four people were taken to Pitt County Memorial Hospital, officials say. None of the injuries were considered life-threatening.

I am suprised this type wreck does not happen more often.Out on Greenville blvd by the old circuit city (When lane is right turn only)people cut me off all the time. Another thing i notice is that drivers get in to the turn lanes (With yellow lines)about a block or so too early. The police should put more effort into reckless driving & less into speed radar traps. It is dangerous out there & you better be careful or you will be in the next wreck.

I live on Corey Road and I don't like that intersection at all. Given that the road is fairly new, they probably could have done a better job with design. Driving towards Memorial, the green turn arrow seems inconsistent. I've seen the light turn green with no arrow and cars start to turn left because sometimes they do get a green arrow. I don't see as many cars running that light as I do Greenville Blvd and Arlington or Memorial and Arlington.

I live in Belle Meade too... it is scary taking a left out of our neighborhood because you can't see the traffic sitting on Firetower Road to the left. I always take my time pulling out bc so many people run that light and you can't see what's coming because of the brick sign. Slow down people!! I totally agree with the other Belle Meade comment, hurting or killing someone is not worth the extra minute you would have saved.

I live in Belle Meade and there is AWAYS some one running red lights at Fire Tower & Corey Road. I guess they run all red lights in this town. PEOPLE, think before running that red light, is it worth maybe KILLING someone for a few moments of getting ahead on the roads??? I think not. THINK BEFORE DOING!!!
