A shark bite was reported along the Outer banks last week. A 33-year-old Ohio woman said she started running when she saw the shark in the water near her while vacationing in Avon in Dare County. The shark clamped its jaws down on her foot, according to the Virginian-Pilot.
The paper said Megan Konkler needed eight internal stitches as well as 10 across the top of her foot and five on the bottom.
