One of Corolla's wild horses is getting nursed back to health after an unusual and dangerous plunge into the surf.
The Corolla Wild Horse Fund says a horse named “Amadeo” is an aged stallion that might be blind. That’s him there in the picture you see from the Fund’s facebook page.
A man saw him running into the surf earlier this month, and a human rescue crew brought him back to safety.
An update on the horse says it's not clear if he'll regain vision in his injured eye, but his overall health is good.
