Cape Lookout National Seashore will start accepting visitors Wednesday morning.
Officials say the Harkers Island Visitor's Center will open a 9:00 a.m. and the seashore will be open for pedestrian use beginning at noon.
Vehicles will be allowed on the seashore starting Thursday and vehicle ferry service will run as scheduled starting Thursday at 9:00 a.m.
Great Island and Long Point cabin lodging will also be open Thursday beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Ferry service for visitors stops Friday. All ferries are expected to stop operating Saturday.
Visitors already staying in cabins or on beaches are being advised to leave the islands or seek protected areas.
