UPDATE: Windy Weather Knocks Out Power In Hyde County

The power has been restored to hundreds of people in Hyde County, and they can blame their outage on the windy weather.

Tideland EMC says a tree limb that blew into power lines, which caused an outage at the Rose Bay circuit. The number of customers who lost power was 533.

Officials say the power was restored at 1:09 a.m. Thursday.



Previous StoryPower crews have been dispatched to restore electricity to hundreds of homes in Hyde County.

Tideland EMC says an outage was reported at 11:11 p.m. Wednesday at the Rose Bay circuit, affecting 533 customers.

We are working to find out what caused the outage.
