Fire Destroys OBX Homes

A roaring fire destroyed two houses on the Outer Banks and heavily damaged a third Saturday night.

Currituck County officials say they first got the call of a fire at 9:30 p.m. They say it began at a home on Hicks Bay Lane that's in the Pine Island area of Corolla. The fire then spread to two other homes.

Officials say six cars were also destroyed.

Officials don't know if anyone was staying in the home where the fire started, but they know there were renters in the other two homes.

No injuries have been reported.

Officials are investigating the cause of the fire.
