Fire officials are still checking hot spots after a fire destroyed a home in Hyde County early Saturday morning.
According to officials they were called out to a home at 32566 US Highway 264 in Engelhard around 6:30 a.m.
When firefighters got there flames were coming through the roof. The roof eventually collapsed.
No one was home at the time, but a family of five does live there.
Officials believe the fire started in the breaker box.
The home is a total loss.
No one was injured while fighting the blaze.
