Ferries Offline Due To High Winds, Water Conditions

Some commuters or those returning from an Ocracoke weekend will be delayed Monday morning.

The North Carolina Department of Transportation announced on Twitter that two routes were offline Monday morning due to weather conditions.

The NCDOT said wind and sea conditions forced the Hatteras-Ocracoke ferry route offline until 9am Monday.

Due to high winds and low tide, the Bayview-Aurora ferry was also reported to be offline Monday morning.
