If you want to climb the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, you will have to dig a little deeper in your wallet to do it.
The National Park Service says starting tomorrow it will cost $8 for adults, and $4 for those 62 years old or older, or 11 years of age and under.
The Park Service says this is the first lighthouse fee increase in five years. It jumped by a dollar for adults and 50 cents for seniors and kids.
Money from lighthouse tickets goes to support staff and maintenance at the site as well as to construct and maintain park facilities throughout the National Seashore.
