The search continues today for the man accused of killing his girlfriend while they vacationed on the Outer Banks. Authorities think the suspect is probably still in his home state of Ohio.
Local, state and federal officials are involved in the manhunt for nate summerfield, wanted for the murder of Lynn Jackenheimer in Dare County earlier this month. Dare County investigators have traveled to Ashland, Ohio for their investigation, which is where Summerfield was last spotted. He was last seen operating a 2009 grey Honda Civic four door, Ohio plate FMV7540, in the Ashland, Ohio area. The US Marshal's tip line is 1-866-4-WANTED.
A reward is being offered for his arrest.
