Black flags greeted holiday beach-goers at one Crystal Coast beach Friday morning.
The flags to warn people to stay out of the water were flying at Pine Knoll Shores due to the remnants of Hurricane Arthur.
There is still a high risk for rip currents along all beaches in Carteret, Dare, Hyde and Onslow, counties because of the storm.
The National Weather Service issued the beach hazards statement, which is in effect until 8:00 p.m.
