The U.S. House of Representatives passed a bill that includes measures to restore reasonable access to the Cape Hatteras National Seashore.
The bill, introduced by Congressman Walter Jones, was approved Tuesday to reinstate the plan in place prior to the National Park Service Restrictions. The current law limits areas that you're able to drive on the beach in Hatteras. It is said to protect birds and turtles, but others say it is killing tourism.
The bill will go to the Senate next week.
