Outer Banks Ready For Thanksgiving

It was a tough week recently for the Outer Banks when it came to a Nor' easter punishing main roads.

Many towns and cities are getting ready for folks to come enjoy a Thanksgiving getaway.

Weather permitting all ferry schedules are expected to be ready for service for Swan Quarter, Cedar Island and Hatteras.

Highway 12 which was almost entirely crippled over a week ago is now open to two lanes of traffic in the Rodanthe and the Mirlo Beach area.

Many Outer Banks towns see Thanksgiving week as the last economic boom of the season before the true off season begins.
