Dare County Says "Minimal Impact" If Danny Stays On Track

Dare County expects minimal impact from Tropical Storm Danny, even though it's under a tropical storm watch.

The county says the current storm track has the system staying offshore, and moving past the Outer Banks early Saturday morning as a minimal hurricane.

Authorities say based on the current forecast, no travel delays, road closures, or interruptions to ferry service are anticipated.

Dare County does say there is the threat of heightened rip currents Friday through Sunday, so those on the beach should heed all surf zone advisories.
