WEATHER ALERT: Waterspouts And Funnel Clouds Possible

The National Weather Service says waterspouts and funnel clouds are occurring over the Outer Banks and downeast Carteret County.

People in Eastern Dare, Craven and Carteret County should be alert.

Forecasters say conditions will continue to be good for waterspout and funnel cloud formation through mid-afternoon. Please be advised they may briefly touch land before dissipating. Minor damage may occur.

    Sounds like a good time for a boat ride.I have never seen the inside of a waterspout before.If they can chase tornadoes in Texas and Oklahoma, why can't we chase waterspouts here in Carolina.Might even be easier, as a boat doesn't have to follow a road. It can go any way it wants to.
