There is some good news on the economic front in North Carolina - the unemployment rate has dropped in 83 counties.
The April county rates came out Friday morning showing unemployment went up for just 14 counties and remained the same in three.
Two coastal counties saw the biggest drop in the state. Dare County was first with a 4.9% drop, while Hyde was second with a 4.2% decline.
Four counties in Eastern Carolina saw their unemployment rise. Those were Greene, .5%, Nash, .1%, Pamlico, .2% and Wilson County, with a .7% increase.
