Rabid Raccoon Kills Dog In Hyde County

Another case of rabies has been found in Eastern Carolina and this time the rabid animal killed a dog.

The Hyde County Health Department confirmed the county's first case of the year.

On Wednesday a dog was attacked and killed by a raccoon at a home on North Lake Road. The raccoon was killed by the dog's owner and then sent to the state lab for testing.

Rabies is a fatal disease, so if you're bitten by a stray animal contact a physician immediately.

If the dog was a pittbull, the owners would have had to give him up because their homeowners would not insure them with a dangerous breed. I would rather take my chances with the raccoon!

Wow, that's one mean raccoon! If the dog was a pittbull, he would've won and the raccoon would be dead.

You can thank PETA and Libs for this too!! It was there physical threats to people wearing fur that caused a surge in rabies. When will people realize that Libs do the exact opposite of the right thing.
