The water in Dare County is now safe to drink.
The county says the water supply in Buxton has been restored to capacity and tests show the water is free of bacteria. The utilities director says the boil water advisory has been lifted, effective immediately.
Residents and businesses are still being urged to continue to manage their water usage and report any leaks or problems to the Dare County water system.
