The clock ran out for whoever had a Powerball ticket worth $1 million that was sold in Jacksonville.
The N.C. Education Lottery says a Powerball ticket that matched five numbers in the February 4 drawing was bought at the Wilco Hess on Western Boulevard and Gum Branch Road.
The person with that ticket had until 5:00 p.m. Thursday to come forward and claim their prize.
Since no one did, half of the prize goes to education and the other half goes back in the prize pot.
The winning numbers were 15-23-43-45-56.
