Police are hoping renewed publicity will help them solve a murder mystery.
Two years ago Saturday, Ramel McDonald was gunned down while on a front porch of a Jacksonville home. The shooting happened in broad daylight on Onslow Drive.
Police say the gunman is described as a black man in his early to mid 20's. He had short hair, wearing a black fitted ball cap, was 5'10" to 6' tall and had a medium to slender build. Police say the man was wearing a white t-shirt and jeans. He was armed with a semi-automatic handgun.
An artist sketch of the gunman was released again by police as they are confident there are people in the community that have information that could assist their investigation.
Crime Stoppers of Onslow County is offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to an arrest or apprehension in the murder case. You can contact Crime Stoppers at 910-938-3273 or Jacksonville police at 910-938-6405.
