Two people were killed in a two vehicle wreck early Sunday morning in Onslow County. Troopers believe alcohol was involved.

The wreck happened on Highway 17 South, just north of NC 210 in Dixon.

Troopers say 29-year-old Juan Torres of Wilmington was driving a silver Toyota Celica when he crossed the median on Highway 17 and collided head on with a Dodge Charger.

24-year-old Christopher Brown, a Camp Lejeune marine, was driving the Charger. Brown had two passengers, 21-year-old Rossio Jordan and 26-year-old Juan Ruiz, also a Camp Lejeune marine.

Troopers say Torres and Jordan both died at the scene. Brown and Ruiz were transported to New Hanover Medical Center where they are in stable condition.

Troopers believe alcohol was a factor in the wreck. They say Torres did not have a license.
