Two More Arrested For Violent Home Invasion

Deputies say they have made two more arrests in last month's violent home invasion that injured a son and his mother.

John Gillard III and Casey Adams, both of Hubert, were nabbed in Coffee County, Alabama around 11:00 a.m. this morning.

The two were among five suspects in the March 25th home invasion in Hubert that injured William and Kathleen McComas. Charles Winston and Brendon Dillon had already been arrested for the robbery and attack. They're still searching for Robert Alexander of Jacksonville.

Gillard and Adams are in the Coffee County jail on charges of 1st degree burglary, felony conspiracy, 1st degree kidnapping, robbery with a dangerous weapon, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious bodily injury, larceny of a firearm and possession of a stolen firearm.

When arrested, deputies say the two were in the front yard of a home, standing beside their vehicle.

Lawmen say they have arrested two men and are looking for three other people for Sunday's violent home invasion in Onslow County.

Onslow County Sheriff Ed Brown says one of the victims, William McComas, is up and walking around this morning at Vidant Medical Center.

The 19-year-old was attacked around 2:45 a.m. Sunday during a home invasion on Howell Road in Hubert. The man's mother, Kathleen McComas, has already been treated and released from the hospital.

The two in jail for the attack are Charles Winston and Brendon Dillon. Both men are 20 years old and live in Hubert.

Deputies say they're still searching for Paul Gillard and Casey Adams, both of Hubert, and Robert Alexander of Jacksonville.

Brown says the five burst into the home with guns, corralled the family into one room and put a gun to the father's head. He says the younger McComas and his mother were beaten during the invasion.

The sheriff says considering the nature of the crime, the public should consider those still on the run as armed and potentially dangerous.
