Police say a person was hit by broken glass after the vehicle they were in was hit by gunfire.
Jacksonville police say the shooting happened in the parking lot of the Jack Amyette Recreation Center on South Drive around 9:30 p.m.
Police say the victim had only minor injuries and they continue to search for the gunman.
The shooting occurred not far from another that happened April 22nd on Eastwood Drive. In that case a man was shot, but police did not release any additional information including if any arrests were made.
People in one Jacksonville neighborhood had their night interrupted by gunfire.
Police said they got a call for shots fired at 1825 South Drive in Jacksonville around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.
That home is near the Jack Amyette Park, and not far from Clyde Erwin Elementary.
Police told WITN this was not a fatal shooting, but will only add it is now under investigation.
Tuesday night's shots fired call is down the street 221 Eastwood Drive, a home where police were called for shots fired the morning of April 22nd.
One man was shot in that case.
No word on suspects in either reported shooting yet.
