Deputies have arrested two men who they say assaulted two others with the butt of a shotgun during a drug dispute.
Onslow County deputies say it happened at a home on Wayne Road in Hubert.
They have charged Anthony Luna and Arande Walker, both of Hubert, with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.
Deputies say the two went to confront Travis Napier and William Bogey over drugs. They say the two began assaulting Bogey and chased Napier as he tried to run from the home. Bogey was kicked and struck several times with the butt of the shotgun in the head and face.
Deputies say Walker ordered Bogey to place the barrel of the gun in his mouth, and when he refused Walker struck him again with the weapon. They say Walker then fired the shotgun in the air, demanding that Bogey put the barrel in his mouth. The other victim was also hit with the shotgun, having the imprint of the gun's butt on his face, according to deputies.
The whole thing was interrupted when another person arrived at the home.
Napier and Bogey were taken to the hospital by a friend. Napier was treated for his injuries and released while Bogey was transported to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville where he underwent surgery.
Luna and Walker where later arrested. Walker's bond was set at $300,000 and Luna's at $50,000.
