Seventeen-year-old Taylor Saulsbury of Sneads Ferry is charged with breaking into more than 50 vehicles.
Onslow County lawmen said Saulsbury stole cash, electronics and even a firearm from all the cars he broke into. The break-ins date back to mid-March.
Authorities said the plan for the crimes was developed from an internet message board. Ideal targets were described as middle to upper-middle class suburban neighborhoods.
Saulsbury's bond was set at $161,500.
