An Onslow County organization dedicated to making sure everyone in their county gets a Christmas is dwindling in donations.

The "Christmas Cheer" organization in Onslow County is in it's fourth decade of giving. They pack boxes of food for families of any size and let parents pick out toys from the donations who meet eligibility guidelines. But organizers say they are still in need this year.

Glenn Hargett with Christmas Cheer say, " Well, donations are down and we suspect some of that is because of the economy itself and some of it's because people don't know what the needs are out there. Right now we have 1,200 families that have asked for assistance and were confident that number is going to go up this week."

To make a donation you can visit the old Piggly Wiggly at 1210 Hargett Street or you can call (910) 347-4646.
