Deputies have released more information about an alcohol-related family shooting that landed a father in jail.
Reginald Moore of Hubert is charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury after the shooting at the man's mobile home Thursday evening.
Deputies say Moore is accused of shooting his son, Brandon Moore of Durham, in the leg. A news release says the two had been drinking and arguing most of the day and out of anger the father pulled out a .357 revolver and shot his 31-year-old son in the leg, just below the knee.
The 60-year-old man's bond was set at $25,000.
The Onslow County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting where they say a father shot his adult son.
Deputies say it happened around 7:00 p.m. in Gatlin's Mobile Home Park in the Hubert area.
Authorities say a 61-year-old father shot his adult son in the leg with what appears to have been a handgun. The injury is not life threatening.
The shooting is under investigation and no further information is being released.
