Onlsow County Sheriff Ed Brown says Thomas Steed appeared in County District Court Tuesday on charges of indecent liberties with a 13-year-old girl and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
Steed's criminal record dates back to 2000 with convictions for breaking and entering and possessing stolen property. He has never been convicted of a sex crime. Sheriff Brown says he was released from another jail Friday and deputies picked him up to go to Onslow County for these recent charges.
