Steve Foster submitted his letter of resignation to North Topsail Beach Wednesday.
Foster has worked for the town in Onslow County since February 2010. He will leave North Topsail Beach to serve as town manager for the town of Oak Island in Brunswick County where he has a permanent residence.
Foster's last day in North Topsail Beach will be October 25th.
