A new branch of the recently remodeled Naval Hospital at Camp Lejeune opened its doors Monday following a 1.5 million dollar makeover.
The Naval Hospital hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony for its new and improved Inpatient Mental Health Unit at 9:30 a.m. Monday.
The Inpatient Mental Health Unit now has 20 beds, expanding in size from the 12 beds it had before, and will be able to care for any military beneficiaries, not just active duty members.
The mental health unit is fully staffed with one Psychiatrist, one Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, 9 Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurses, and 17 Behavioral Health Technicians.
