An Onslow County man is dead after crashing his motorcycle on a road in the east.
The Highway Patrol says that 33-year-old Jullian Hayes of Mapel Hill, was traveling around 100 mph west on Lee Road when he ran off the road and hit a ditch. The impact threw Hayes from his motorcycle and into a tree.
Troopers say that Hayes died at the scene.
