The Disabled American Veterans mobile service office made a stop in Jacksonville Thursday to educate Veterans and their families on their benefits and services.
Service advisors answered questions and helped the vets.
National Service Advisor Pace Ashworth says may are worried about delays with their benefits. Ashworth says, "They're trying their best to catch up, but there is a backlog. Right now they're working on 2-year-old claims trying to get those out by June 18th. There's a lot of Veterans and not enough VA employees to handle it."
This mobile office travels to communities across the country to help Veterans.
The office on wheels eliminates long trips for some Veterans in small towns.
