A man who sold his laptop containing child porn to a pawn shop admitted to the crimes Tuesday in court.
Wesley Metcalf pleaded guilty to seven counts of third degree sexual exploitation of a minor before a Superior Court judge in Onslow County.
Investigators say pornographic photos and videos of children were found on the man's laptop, with the pawn shop turning it over to authorities who then arrested Metcalf.
The judge ordered the 36-year-old Metcalf be evaluated mentally and he is in the Onslow County jail until that can happen. After the evaluation the judge will then determine if Metcalf will be sentenced to prison time.
