Monday was a busy day at the post office for workers and those who were mailing Christmas packages.
Lines were long at post offices for what many are calling the busiest day of the year.
At times, the lines were out the door at the Jacksonville post office with some people waiting between 25 and 30 minutes to send out their letters and packages.
Six-million people were expected to wait in lines across the country Monday--and hard working postal workers are will process more than 600 million pieces of mail throughout the day.
If you didn't get a chance to mail those packages, the postal service says to get first class mail delivered before Christmas, you need to send it by Friday, Saturday for priority mail, and Monday for priority mail express.
