Investigators say the man known as Radio and the Jacksonville Ninja has been released from the hospital after being hit by a car.
Jacksonville police say Robert "Radio" Mattocks was riding his bicycle against traffic along Western Boulevard around 10:30 a.m. Friday when he was hit by a Richlands woman driving a Toyota Scion.
Investigators say no charges will be filed in the case, and that Mattocks was treated and released from Onslow Memorial Hospital with minor injuries on Friday.
Mattocks is known by the names "Radio" and the "Jacksonville Ninja" locally.
The beloved street performer spends many days at busy intersections of Jacksonville, often with a boom box, performing his unique combination of ninja style moves and interpretive dance for passers by.
