A local man is accused of kidnapping and assaulting a woman, according to the Jacksonville Daily News.
Police arrested 28-year-old Christopher Jones of Jacksonville and charged him with first-degree kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon, assault inflicting serious injury, felony conspiracy, communicating threats, interference with emergency communication, and two counts of second-degree sexual offense, the paper reported.
The woman was assaulted with a butcher knife and has a chipped tooth, injured lip and two black eyes, according to warrants. The paper reported that Jones also sexually assaulted her. The Daily News reported that Jones is accused of telling the woman that he would rape her in front of her boyfriend and child and then kill her if she told anyone about what happened.
Bond was set at $400,000.
