Jacksonville Holiday Parade 2011

Thousands of folks got in the spirit of the season with the Jacksonville Holiday Parade Saturday. It aired on WITN 7.2 and witn.com.

WITN's Dave Jordan and April Davis hosted all the fun as marching bands, floats, fire trucks and more made their way down Western Boulevard.

The Jacksonville Holiday Parade is sponsored by Onslow County Tourism.

WITN will also air the parade a second time on WITN 7.1 on Sunday, November 27th at 12:30pm.

jeff I enjoyed the parade the only thing is i did not see the Dixon High School Band on TV like the other schools. It seems to me Dixon School or Dixon High School is put down.If you have pictures or videos of them please show them to the families because it is a special time for them. For some it's their last time to be in something this big. Thanks!!

To the "PC Crowd" & all the others that are chosing to comment...It's called a Holiday Parade because it is to include Thanksgivings, Christmas, Hanukkah,Kwanzaa & any other holiday you can fit in there...It is intended to kick off the Holiday Season!!! That's why it is held BEFORE Thanksgivings & NOT intended as just a Christmas parade, which would be held in December!! Know before you speak & look a FOOL!!!!

mm, Raleigh had their CHRISTMAS parade on the same day, so please don't whine that it's a holiday parade simpley because it's before Thanksgiving. It's called a holiday parade to bow to the PC crowd. so I DO KNOW of what I speak, and I know I'm NOT a fool, unlike you.

The PC crowd has hit again, a holiday parade instead of a Christmas parade. I made sure I said Merry Christmas during that parade, even when the people of the floats said Happy Holidays. and Ho-Ho-Ho Merry Christmas. Wonder if Mrs. obuma will say Santa is too fat and is a bad influence on kids.
