The Jacksonville Police Department's National Night Out 5K Race, also known as “Running with the Law,” is set to take place this Saturday, August 2nd.
This is the second year for the race, and Chief Michael Yaniero hopes this event will further promote cooperation between officers and the community in helping to prevent crime in the city.
Law enforcement officers from a variety of agencies are expected to participate.
The event begins at 7:30am Saturday at the Jacksonville Commons Recreation Center.
Participants can register at www.jacksonvillenc.gov or in person at the Commons Recreation Center.
