Arrest Made In Jacksonville Hotel Robbery

Police have arrested a Jacksonville man for last week's robbery of a hotel.

Wendell Williams has been charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon.

The Econo Lodge on North Marine Boulevard was robbed last Thursday around 1:30 a.m. Police say a man came into the hotel, pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money. The clerk was not hurt.

Police say the 23-year-old Williams lives about a half mile from the hotel.

Jacksonville Police have released new pictures of the gunman who help up a hotel early Thursday.

Police say the Econo Lodge on North Marine Boulevard was robbed around 1:30 a.m.

Police say the man in these pictures pointed a gun at the clerk and ran from the hotel with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The gunman is described as a black man, approximately 5'6" to 5'8" tall, and weighing 180 pounds.

If you know who this is, you're asked to call Jacksonville Police or Crimestoppers.

Jacksonville police say the Econo Lodge on North Marine Boulevard was robbed around 1:30 a.m.

The man pointed a gun at the clerk and ran from the hotel with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No one was injured in the robbery.

The gunman is described as a black man, approximately 5'6" to 5'8" tall, and weighing 180 pounds. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, black baggie pants (possibly sweatpants), and dark shoes with light trim.
