Michael Alford, president of Marine Chevrolet Cadillac in Jacksonville, has been named the 2013 TIME Magazine "Dealer of the Year."
Alford received the honor out of a select group of dealers from across the entire country at the 96th Annual National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) Convention & Exposition in Orlando, FL on Saturday.
Alford received the award due to the "the extraordinary efforts" he put forth into the Jacksonville community and his accomplishments in the industry.
In a press release, Alford attributes "much of the dealership’s success” to the employees. He says, “Since acquiring Marine Chevrolet Cadillac, by far the most rewarding aspect of the journey has been the professional development and advancement of our key personnel.”
Recipients of the TIME Dealer of the Year award are among the nation’s most successful auto dealers who also demonstrate a long-standing commitment to community service.
