How You Can Help The Pittman Family Following The Tragic Fire

Eastern Carolina is reaching out to the Pittman family after Thursday's tragic fire.

Many of you have asked how you can help.

Walter Scott at the Onslow County Sheriff's Office tells WITN the family needs everything.

To make a monetary donation, you can send a check or money order to:

Sheriff Of Onslow County
Attn: W. Scott
717 Court Street
Jacksonville NC 28540

Be sure to put "Pittman Family" in the memo line.

Larger items like beds and household goods are also needed. If you would like to donate these items, e-mail Scott at walter_scott@onslowcountync.gov or call him at (910) 389-4685. Scott asks that anyone planning to drop off larger items at the sheriff's office please contact him advance so he can plan for storage and transport.

Clothes are also needed. The sizes are:

Junior girls size 10-12
Boys size 4-5
Girls size 7-8
Women size 14-16
Men pants size 33 waist/32 length and large

We'll continue to update this story as information becomes available about the family's specific needs.

Beds are no longer needed! Gift cards from furniture stores and retail stores would be a great thing to give!! Rose Brothers furniture was nice enough to donate items and have also added $ to a gift card after a customer purchased it!! There are many benefits being planned. Please see the FB events page to see the postings! There is also 2 accounts set up at RBC bank in Richlands for cash donations! One is for a home building fund and the other is for the family to use as they need to! Thank You!
